Ayodele Alli, also known onstage as “Ayoinmotion.” Born and raised in Nigeria, AYo has always found strength in words that can ultimately radiate through his music. AYo discovered his deep love for hip hop during a brief stay in Japan. The passion and energy embedded in his lyrical content and performance have captivated the interest of both the hip-hop and spoken-word poetry communities. He recently opened for Talib Kweli at the J.Dilla tribute, alongside Phony People and Soul Khan. He has served on a panel with the likes of Lupe Fiasco, Byron Hurt; he has also interviewed Russell Simmons for MTV and he went on a successful European tour last year. AYo recently graced the iconic Apollo Theater stage, where he opened for Gyptian; it was featured at SXSW. He has also performed/headlined at foremost world venues such as: BAM, Webster Hall, SOBS, The Shrine, Hamburg Molotow and numerous University campuses (Stanford, University of Michigan, NYU and more). His latest international performance at the WIGFEST Music Festival in the UK was very well received.

The NYC-based hip hop artist plays with his own live band that blends influences of Afro-Beat from his Nigerian roots with jazz, soul and other musical influences. His performances have inspired comparisons to Kanye West, Common and Fela Kuti.
